Jesus Arevalo Merino Deanna Nall Composition II 27 April 2021 Final Reflection The first major assignment I wrote was the academic success proposal essay. The title of my essay was "How Practice Will Help You Succeed in Math." My thesis statement was: "Last semester, I had a math teacher who I understood completely. He is probably the best math teacher I have had so far. I passed that class with an A. However, I have a new math teacher this semester and I am having the same issues I had back in high school." My thesis explains what I was going through at the beginning of the semester; I was adjusting to a new math teacher and couldn’t understand her very well. It also states the fact I struggled with math in high school. In my essay, I talked about how I’ve always struggled with math. I also identified solutions that helped me with the said subject and supported my points with evidence. Before writing the paper, I looked for sources that supported my arg

The poem was published in 1890 after Dickinson’s death in 1886. She never consented to her work to be published and no one knows whether the poem was finished or a work in progress. In the poem, Dickinson describes death as a kind gentleman who takes her on an endless carriage ride. The poem has been subject to many conflicting interpretations; however, the use of literary devices

Final Reflection

Here is my final reflection: Jesus Arevalo Merino Deana Nall English Composition I 7 December 2020 Reflection             The first major assignment was the “Where I’m from” essay. In this essay, I wrote about my hometown and all the positive and negative experiences I lived there. I also described the places where I spent most of my time when I lived there. As I explained in my thesis, although I lived many bad experiences in my hometown, it will always occupy a special place in my heart. For this assignment, I wrote about the happy memories first, then I wrote about the bad memories, and in the end, I described the current situation my hometown is going through. The reason why I also wrote about the negative experiences I lived in my hometown is that I wanted to be realistic. No matter we come from, we all remember at least one bad experience. It was hard to start typing because although I had a lot to write about, it is always hard for me to talk about myself, but once I
